BACKGROUND
CCUC’s Connection to Urbana
CCUC has not formally sent a team to Urbana in over a decade. However, many individuals have been blessed by this ministry and as a result, have gone on to the mission field, to support missionaries, and even to serving on our missions board. The CCUC Mission Board sees the value of this conference and will be coordinating CCUC's involvement for the 2025 conference.
THE TRIP
Where? Phoenix, Arizona
What? Explore what God is doing in the world right now, what God's Word says, and how we fit into His global mission
When? 12/28/2025 - 1/1/2026
Who? CCUC regulars who are interested in learning more about missions, growing in support of missions, or getting equipped for the mission field. This trip is open to high school and up.
REQUIREMENTS FOR TEAM MEMBERS
- Committed follower of Christ
- Active member or attendee of CCUC
- Interested in missions
- Committed to attending most missions fellowships and Urbana prep meetings leading up to the trip (see next section)
- Committed to participate in team fundraising and financially give according to your means
WHEN WE WILL MEET
There will be two types of meetings to prepare for the trip.
Missions fellowship meetings for training
- 4/13, 5/18, 6/15, 7/20, 8/17, 9/21
- 12:45 PM - 2:00 PM, in person, at church
Meetings for Urbana specific planning and prep
- 6/17, 7/15, 8/12 , 9/9, 9/30
- evenings, time TBD, zoom
Additional meetings will be scheduled based on need and availability after the team is formed.
